Was home sick today, but that's no excuse to share the picture love. Many thanks to Sophie for sending these to me! What a monkey. (Ethan, not Sophie).

I'm pretty sick of being sick - being exhausted to the point of debilitation - being sore and achey - being unsettled. Unrelaxed. Stressed. And totally without energy. Just for the record. And - as an aside, where did my baby go and who is this little man? (who looks as tired as I feel: crusty nose and all).

I haven't talked to him yet, but apparently dad's hip surgery went well today. Horray! Speedy recovery dad - and back to those rolling seas very soon! We love you xo

new favourite magazine

I am so in love with this (new to me) magazine, Brain, Child. I picked up the current issue at Chapters last week and am still reading it - every word, cover to cover. There are very few, if any ads - just great essays and articles on motherhood. Its fabulous. I love it. I especially loved the article on the trend of "momoirs", motherhood blogs and their niche in the publishing market.

I think I'll get a subscription one of these days - gotta be cheaper, as Chapters sells it at $7.50 an issue!
